Our Philosophy of Education
At Riverside Christian School, we believe that the education of children is a God-given responsibility entrusted first to parents. Our role is to come alongside families, supporting them by providing a Christ-centered education that reinforces biblical truth and academic excellence.
Scripture reminds us:
"And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children..."
Deuteronomy 6:7–9
Throughout American history, churches have played a vital role in educating children. Many of the nation's earliest schools were established by local churches and Christian communities, where academic instruction was closely connected with the development of biblical character, moral responsibility, and a knowledge of God's Word. The Bible served as a foundational text, shaping both education and daily life.
As our educational system has evolved, public schools have become increasingly limited in their ability to provide faith-based instruction. While we deeply appreciate the dedication and commitment of many public school educators, they are often unable to openly teach from a biblical worldview or integrate Christian faith into every area of learning.
Riverside Christian School exists to provide families with a distinctly Christian education where faith and learning are intentionally woven together. We believe that all truth is God's truth and that every academic subject can be taught through the lens of Scripture.
Our desire is to cultivate students who pursue academic excellence, demonstrate Christlike character, and develop a strong biblical worldview. We seek to prepare young men and women who will honor God in their homes, churches, communities, and future vocations by living lives marked by integrity, wisdom, and servant leadership.
This philosophy reflects our deeply held biblical conviction that children should be taught daily in the ways of the Lord. By partnering with parents, we strive to equip each student spiritually, academically, socially, and morally, preparing them to faithfully serve Christ in every area of life.
